Doris Anderson 1940-2014
Doris J. Anderson, 74, Holton, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.
She was born June 20, 1940, in Hiawatha, the daughter of Franklin “Sparky” and Margaret M. Bacon Mosher. She graduated from Whiting High School in 1959.
Mrs. Anderson worked at Slimaker Dress Factory and Sears and was an office assistant at Holton Hospital for many years.
She attended Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.
She married Gerald “Jerry” Lee Anderson on June 25, 1960, in Whiting. He died July 26, 2012. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Huerter; and three brothers, Max, Marvin and Charles Mosher.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Huerter and husband Joe and Natalie Johnson, all of Topeka; a brother, Melvin Mosher and wife Wilma, Odessa, Mo.; four grandchildren, AJ Huerter, Nathan Huerter and wife Kala, Collin Huerter and Natasha Johnson and husband Jeff; and three great-grandchildren, Kendall, Emma and Amelia.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be held in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
