Diann Strader 1961-2021

Kathy Diann Strader, 60, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Olathe Health Hospice House.

She was born Nov. 9, 1961, in Reno County, the daughter of Glenn and Morene (Wright) Hamilton.

Diann graduated from Haven High School in 1980. Following graduation, she attended Emporia State University and graduated in 1984, then began teaching in USD 336. On Aug. 3, 1985, she married Scott Strader. Diann taught various elementary classes within USD 336 for 35 years until she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott, and her father-in-law, Ronald Strader.

Survivors include children, Taylor (Strader) Stonerock and her husband, Anthony, of Winfield, Sydney (Strader) Haas and her husband, Ryley, of Overland Park, and Riley Strader of Lenexa; grandson, Cayde Stonerock; mother-in-law, Linda (Locher) Strader of Holton; siblings, Darren Hamilton of Shawnee and Shelia Hamilton of Galva; and nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a small celebration of life in January.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to KU Endowment, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., Mail Stop 3012, Kansas City, KS 66160, to benefit Dr. Sharma’s triple negative/BRCA fund. Please indicate that donations are for the Diann Strader memorial.
