Della Callison 1919-2015
Della J. Callison, 96, Valley Falls, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at F.W. Huston Senior Living Center at Winchester.
She was born Jan. 19, 1919, at Mountain Grove, Mo., the daughter of Cyrus Edward and Dollie Pitts Callison. She attended Hoyt High School and graduated from Stewart’s Cosmetology School in Topeka.
Miss Callison had worked in the maintenance department at The University of Kansas in Lawrence prior to her retirement. She had worked as a beautician in Topeka and at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto.
She had attended Valley Falls Christian Church.
Survivors include 10 nephews and nieces, and many great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Marion Callison; and two sisters, Margaret Hazel Stadel and Ruby Bausch.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
