Debra Clark 1954-2020
Debra K. “Debbie” Clark, 65, Holton, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at her home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1954, at Horton, the daughter of Richard and Darlene Christie Bruns. She graduated from Holton High School in 1973 and from Kaw Area Technical School in Topeka.
Mrs. Clark was a medical transcriptionist for Holton Community Hospital and other medical groups. She also was the Holton school’s band aide for many years, a secretary at First United Methodist Church and also worked at Kanza Mental Health Center, Kansas Sports Medicine and Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Holton and a former member and president of the Pilot Club of Holton. She was also a 4-H leader and the Japanese Exchange Coordinator for 4-H.
She married Michael Humphries in 1973. He died in 1978. She married Gene Clark on Sept. 14, 1979, in Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Matthew Clark, Manhattan; three daughters, Christi Schumaker and husband Samuel, Whiting, Kimberly Clark, Holton, and Elizabeth Dove and husband David, Branson, Mo.; a sister, Cindy Butler and husband Tim, Huntersville, N.C.; and eight grandchildren, Madison, Addy, Comyn and Kara Schumaker, Monte and Brock Mitchell and Breckin and Aubrey Dove.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Richard Bruns.
Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at First United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time. A register book will be available to sign at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.
