Danny Smith 1962-2021

Daniel Robert “Danny” Smith, 59, Circleville, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at his home.

He was born May 3, 1962, in Topeka, the son of Allen Kent Smith and Connie Marrs. He graduated from Royal Valley High School.

Mr. Smith worked for Jackson County Road and Bridge for several years.

He was a member of Holton American Legion Post 44.

He married Dee Bottleman; they later divorced. He married Dejanee Spencer; she preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his father, Allen Smith; and his stepfather, Davis Scofield.

Survivors include his mother, Connie Scofield, Mayetta; four children, Justin Smith and wife Kayln, Dudley, S.C., Kristopher Smith and husband Kevin, Topeka, Angel Sanchez and husband Juan, Holton, and Imani Smith of the home; two sisters, Karen Rickel and husband Eric and Marla Brandon, both of Mayetta; two brothers, Brad Smith and wife Hope, Mayetta, and Jeff Smith and wife Denise, Effingham; and three grandchildren, Greyson, Victoria and Ezekiel.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
