Cynthia Smith 1968-2020
Cynthia Lee Smith, 51, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at The Pines in Holton after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born Dec. 2, 1968, in Fort Riley, the daughter of Carlton L. and Carol L. (Neal) Miller.
Cynthia graduated from Holton High School in 2015. She had also lived in Clay Center for eight years and also in Greenleaf.
She was a sales clerk and cashier at Holton Walmart, until her health declined. Cynthia enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing for catfish.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Neal of Manhattan; a son, Michael J. Thomas Oom of Morrill; a daughter, Carole N. Oom of Junction City; a sister, Tammy Miller of Junction City; two brothers, Matthew Miller of California and Travis Neal (Ashley) of Crestview, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a longtime friend and caretaker, Shannon Sawyer of Holton.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center.
