Cooper Zeller 1995-2018

Cooper Charles Zeller, 22, Holton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in Effingham.

He was born Dec. 18, 1995, in Onaga,  the son of Daniel Charles Zeller and Michelle (Eshom) Zeller.

Cooper graduated from Holton High School in 2014 and attended one year at Washburn University. He was very involved in Holton High School; he played football, baseball and wrestling; he was involved in FFA and Jackson County 4-H. Cooper was an avid hunter. He also played for the Washburn University football team.

In high school he worked for the City of Holton on the brick crew; most recently he was a welder for R&S Maintenance in Meriden.

Survivors include his mother, Michelle Zeller of Hoyt; three brothers, Parker Zeller of Holton, David Heideman (Amanda) of Republic, Mo., and Chris Eshom (Jaimee) of Arkansas City; a sister, Joni Wardosky (David) of Ft. Riley; and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Lois Zeller of Holton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Zeller; and his maternal grandparents, LuJean Graybill and Don Eshom.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
