Chris Brown 1988-2021
Christopher Michael Brown, 33, Valley Falls, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021.
He was born Oct. 4, 1988, to Michael and Dawn Brown.
Chris graduated from Mission Valley High School in 2007. Growing up, he enjoyed showing cattle in 4-H, playing sports and in high school he loved rodeoing. After graduation, Chris served in the Kansas National Guard. He dedicated his life to helping and serving people by being a firefighter for Mission Township, Auburn, Dover, Potawatomi Tribal and Tonganoxie Fire Departments, as well as McManigal Electric in Denison.
Chris married Keresa Wilson on July 2, 2016, in Auburn; she survives. Other survivors include children, Cody Brown, Dakota Brown, Korban Wilson and Makaela Wilson; parents, Michael and Dawn Brown; sister, Leslie Brown (Matt Miller); brother, Duane Brown (Skylar); niece, Raylie Brown; nephew, William Brown; grandparents, Ray and Alice Zeller and Mike Coffee; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Sue Coffee and Donald Brown; great-grandmother, Molly Brown; and uncle, David Brown.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 S.W. Urish Rd., Topeka KS 66614. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dover Cemetery.
