Carmen Levier 1976-2018

Carmen Rose Levier, Quah-She, 42, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

She was born Sept. 30, 1976, in Reno, Nev., the daughter of Arthur Marcellus Levier Jr. and Ruth Elaine Conway.

Ms. Levier was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Drum Religion.

Survivors include four daughters, Brandy Sims, Miranda Levier-Sims, Jaimie Sims and Leilani Sims, all of Holton; a sister, Cherise Levier, Yerington, Nev.; and two grandchildren, Clinton Levier and Larenz Banks Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Arthur Levier Sr. and Julia McKinney Levier and Ernest and Ruby McCloud Conway; and two brothers, Jay Levier and Clinton Marcellus Levier.

Wake and drum services will be held Sunday evening, Nov. 4 at the Danceground Building on the Potawatomi Reservation. Burial will be held Monday in Shipshee Cemetery. Ms. Levier will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt.
