Bud Stoldt 1931-2020

Eldon “Bud” Stoldt, a long-time resident of the state of Kansas, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020, in Richardson, Texas.

Bud is survived by his daughter, Brenda Miller; her husband, Larry Miller; his sister, Wilma Ross; his grandson, Nicholas Miller; his granddaughter, Noel Shinkle and her husband, Blake Shinkle. He is predeceased by his mother, Alice Johnson Stoldt; and his father, Galen “Shorty” Stoldt.

Bud was born on Nov. 12, 1931, in Corning. He attended Goff High School and graduated in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. Eventually Bud settled in Topeka, where he was employed by Forbes Air Force Base and later the VA Hospital.

During retirement, Bud enjoyed some of his favorite hobbies like square dancing, lawn care and going out to eat. Throughout his life, Bud was known for his attention to detail, patriotism and humor. He was always ready with a joke that was sure to fill the room with laughter.

Bud will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
