Bonnie Lynne 1972-2021

Bonnie Lynne, 49, of Hiawatha, formerly of Holton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021 in Hiawatha. She was born March 22, 1972 in Topeka, the daughter of Dennis P. Finger and Kathleen Anderson Cobb.

Bonnie graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1990 and attended Washburn University. She had worked at Sheltered Living and TARC in Topeka, she sold seasonal retail at Westridge Mall, she was a teller for Holton National Bank and most recently worked as a secretary/receptionist for Highland Community College-Holton Campus.

She married Clinton Barnett in 1995 at Ft. Bragg, N.C. They later divorced.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Dennis Finger (Karone) of Kearneysville, W.Va.; stepfather and mother, Dr. Ron and Kathleen Cobb of Holton; sister, Suzanne Finger of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Kenneth Finger (Peggy) of Leesburg, Va.; twin paternal aunts, Karen Scarry (Bill) of McLean, Va. and Sharon Todd of McLean, Va.; three maternal uncles, Reed Anderson (Fran) of Albuquerque, N.M., Carl Anderson (Roxanne) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Mark Anderson of Frederick, Md.; maternal aunt, Mary Anderson of Pasadena, Calif.; two nephews, Justin and Joshua Finger; and a niece, Katie Chepalis.

Bonnie was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Curtis and Margaret Anderson; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Blanche Finger and a stepsister, Elizabeth Cobb.

She enjoyed traveling with her family, being in nature and photography.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
