Bonnie Luthi 1945-2019
Bonnie Lou (Wells) Luthi, 73, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019 at Gulf Regional Hospice Center in Zephyrhills, Fla.
She was born Nov. 20, 1945, in Topeka, the daughter of Clifford and Mary (Wallace) Wells.
She married Loren Luthi on Aug. 5, 1961, in Topeka. They later divorced. To this union they shared four children, Amy, Mark, Russell and Jamie.
On June 4, 1987, Bonnie was united in marriage to Duane Orval Luthi in Holton. They shared 32 years of marriage.
Bonnie was a proud mother and housewife where she got to stay home and take care of her family. She loved to crochet, spend time on her tablet playing her slot games, especially scrolling through Facebook. Most of all, she enjoyed shopping for clothes.
She is survived by her husband, Duane, of the home; a daughter, Amy Jacob (John) of Basehor; two sons, Mark Luthi (Julie) of Mayetta and Russell Luthi (Katrenia) of Holton; a stepdaughter, Jennie Hetrick (Dave) of Kansas City; a sister, Shirley Lee of Peoria, Ariz.; four brothers, Wayne Wells of Zephyrhills, Fla., Bill McDaniel of Sun City, Ariz., David Lee of Surprise, Ariz., and Mike Carter of El Mirage, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Michael Luthi; and a sister, Maxine Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
