William Riley "Bill" Calwell, 107, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka.
He was born June 25, 1908 in Wetmore, and was the oldest man in Kansas at the time of his death.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, in Wesley Hall at Aldersgate Village. Prior to the celebration, a luncheon will be held at 12 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Topeka.
Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church or Aldersgate Village and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is honored to assist the family.
