Anthony Kabance 1962-2020

Anthony “Dean” Kabance, 58, Topeka, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka.

He was born Oct. 27, 1962, in Topeka, the son of Carol Jean Kabance. He lived most of his life in Topeka.

Mr. Kabance worked as a laborer for building construction companies.

He was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

He married Jadee Evans. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Matthew Dean Kabance and Shadusa Neil Roberson, both of Topeka; two daughters, Leslie Kabance Barlow and Neshe-Mahe Mekayla Evans Kabance, both of Topeka; a sister, Andrea Kitchkommie, Topeka; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jean Kitchkommie; and his sisters, Deanne Muniz and Christina Fitzherbert.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in Shipshee Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton; all present must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
