Anthony Brenner 1950-2015

 

Anthony Brenner, 65, Soldier, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Horton Hospital.

He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Topeka, the son of Florene Brenner Scott. He attended Soldier High School.

Mr. Brenner worked for the City of Soldier for 35 years as a meter reader and did odd jobs for people in the Soldier community. He also mowed, including the cemetery, was a janitor at Soldier United Methodist Church and took items to the auction east of Atchison.

He was a member of Soldier United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, James “Leon” Scott, Topeka; an uncle, Calvin “Warren” Brenner, Topeka; and several cousins, in­cluding Cindy Keeler and husband Steve, Tulsa, Okla. He was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Junod.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mercer Fu­neral Home in Holton. Inurnment will follow in Soldier Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
