Alma Hollenbeck 1928-2016
Alma Beatrice Hollenbeck, 88, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Holton, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, in Colorado Springs.
She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Perth, Australia, the daughter of Arthur Benjamin and Ruby May Cook.
Mrs. Hollenbeck worked as a telephone operator in Holton. She was a longtime resident of Holton before moving to Nebraska and later to Colorado Springs.
She married James Edward Hollenbeck in Australia. He died June 9, 1965.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond Hollenbeck and wife Jan, San Diego, Calif., Ronald Hollenbeck and wife Marna, Las Vegas, Nev., and Gary Hollenbeck and wife Valerie, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Brenda Rowell and husband Skip, White Hall, Ark.; and many grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends at First United Methodist Church in Holton following the service.
