Marvin Ingels 1924-2015

 

Marvin Albert Ingels, 90, Neta­waka, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

He was born March 21, 1924, in Nemaha County, the son of Tho­mas S. and Maude Wood Ingels. He graduated from Netawaka High School in 1942.

Mr. Ingels was drafted into the U.S. Army after graduation. He was a farmer and stockman.

He and his wife were members of the 16/75er’s Square Dance Club in Holton.

He married Melvena M. Young-Vandervort on June 30, 1973, in Holton. She survives.

Other survivors include two brothers-in-law, Leonard Young, Topeka, and Carroll Young, Santa Fe, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leone Armstrong and Edith Schumann; and two brothers, Frank and Clarence Ingels.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
