Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday

Daylight Saving Time for 2017 will begin at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 11. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward an hour before going to bed Saturday night.

Daylight Saving Time is observed everywhere in the United States except Arizona, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Fire department personnel also encourage people to install new batteries in their smoke detectors when they change their clocks for Daylight Saving Time.
