Purling-Gerhardt

Elizabeth Purling of Osage City and Cole Gerhardt of Holton announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

The bride-to-be’s parents are Richard Kibbe of Lafayette, La., and Carolyn Kibbe of Topeka. The future groom’s parents are David and Linda Gerhardt of Holton.

Elizabeth is a graduate of Osage City High School, Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University. She is employed at Stormont-Vail Health Center. Cole is a graduate of Holton High School and is employed at Goodyear.

The wedding will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Spirit Lake Resort in Perry. Matron of honor will be Allison Lyda. Bridesmaids will be Audra Lohrbach, Liz Benson, Sara Coash and Jessica Webb.

Reese Purling, daughter of the bride, will serve as flower girl. Cora Coash, niece of the bride and twin sister to the junior ring bearer, will act as junior flower girl.

Chad Gerhardt will act as best man. Groomsmen will be Brett Summers, Josh Kibbe, Darin Coash and Brian Webb. Eric Gerhardt, son of the groom, will serve as ring bearer. Junior ring bearer will be Cooper Coash.

Following the ceremony, a reception will be held with a dinner, dance, lawn games and a lakeside fire at the resort.

The couple will make their home in Holton.
