Gillilands celebrate golden anniversary
Frank and Betsy Gilliland of Holton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Frank Gilliland and Betsy Marshall met through mutual friends during their college years. They were married by the Rev. Don Hammerli at First Presbyterian Church in Holton on Sept. 2, 1966. They have lived most of their married life in Holton.
They are parents to four sons and one daughter and grandparents to 14 beautiful grandchildren: Jay and Melissa Gilliland, Emma, Sadie and Sophia; Joe and Karrie Gilliland, Parker, Conner and Tucker; Andy and Maggie Gilliland, Jack, Charlie, Finley and Max; Alex and Taige Gilliland, Tuley, Marley, Haddie and Norah; and Jenny Gilliland, all of Holton.
They will celebrate the occasion with a family barbecue on Sept. 18. A family vacation to Table Rock is planned for next June.
