He also led the construction of a new replacement hospital while at Nevada, Iowa. Among his many community activities, Willert has served as the president of the Nevada Chamber of Commerce and the Nevada Economic Development Council.

“I am impressed with the professionalism and ownership of the staff and the pride they have in the truly remarkable healthcare system they have developed,” Willert said of Community HealthCare System. “I look forward being a part of its continued growth.”

Willert has a degree in nursing from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Moline, Ill. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Iowa.
