Public meeting set for Wednesday on HCH expansion plans

A public meeting for the proposed expansion of Holton Community Hospital and its Family Practice Associates clinic is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, it has been reported.

The meeting will be held at The Hotspot, located on the north side of the Holton Square at 124 W. Fifth St.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and provide comments on the proposed project.

Rural Health Resources of Jackson County, Inc., which does business as Holton Community Hospital, has filed a pre-application with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development for financial assistance to renovate and expand the hospital and to build a new, 11,690-square foot rural health care clinic.
