New related charges filed against Ramirez-Garcia
A resident of southern Mexico charged with rape after an alleged Feb. 10 incident is now facing new, related charges after a Tuesday afternoon preliminary hearing in Jackson County District Court.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller said that after hearing testimony from the Holton woman who accused Antonio Ramirez-Garcia, 38, of rape during the alleged incident at a Holton residence, Ramirez-Garcia should be bound over for trial on charges of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.
District Court Judge Norbert Marek agreed and set Ramirez-Garcia’s arraignment for Thursday, April 5 in district court.
