More winter weather headed this weekend

The National Weather Service of Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory for Jackson County from 6 p.m. this evening until 9 a.m. Saturday.
According to the NWS, by this evening, precipitation will transition from rain to a mix of freezing rain and sleet. Sleet and snow are expected through the overnight hours into Saturday.
Ice accumulations are around one tenth of an inch are possible along and south of Interstate 35 with less amounts north of the interstate. Snow accumulations are expected to be less than one inch.
Light winds are expected tonight and will increase Saturday morning with gusts upwards of 10 to 15 mph.
