Easter Sunday snow in area no April Fool's joke
It may have seemed like an April Fool’s joke, as Jackson County received snow and ice yesterday on Easter Sunday.
Most of the county received one to two inches of snow on Sunday as totals increased north of the county near the Nebraska border.
The weather did slow travel on county roads and some accidents were reported.
The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident at 2:49 p.m. on Kansas Highway 9 just west of O Road yesterday.
