Community Band impresses at delayed July Jubilee

Weather-wise, Friday evening at Banner Creek Reservoir was more conducive to an outdoor concert by the Jackson County Community Band, shown in the photo above, and fireworks than last Saturday, July 2, when this year’s Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce July Jubilee was scheduled to be held at Banner Creek Reservoir but was rescheduled due to inclement weather. The band, under the direction of Jayme Malsom, played a dozen patriotic tunes for a receptive crowd prior to the evening’s fireworks show, presented by Two Kirks Fireworks of Holton.
