Band concert on Square draws hundreds

The “Second Annual Pops Concert On The Square” drew hundreds to the east side of the Jackson County Courtyard on Thursday evening for performances by about 200 band students in the Holton school district, according to Holton band director Jayme Malsom.
The concert was scheduled to feature the high school jazz ensemble, the fifth grade band, the sixth grade band, the middle school band and the high school band, all playing a total of 17 selections.
